On Saturday July 20th 2024, our community came together to honour the outstanding individuals who make a difference in Clacton at the Community Champion Awards.
Congratulations to Ellie Fraser, our Community Champion! With an impressive 512 votes, Ellie has been recognised for her exceptional contributions. In a generous gesture, Ellie has chosen to donate the £500 bursary to the Tendring Primary Recycle Scheme and its various offshoots.
We also want to extend our appreciation to our remarkable nominees:
- Robert Keenan, the founder of Save a Life, Ditch the Knife. Robert has dedicated his efforts to raising awareness and providing education about knife crime, making a significant impact on community safety.
- Lisa Strong, a dynamic leader of multiple community choirs and an advocate for the numerous health benefits of group singing. Lisa’s commitment to creating community spirit and wellbeing through music is very inspiring.
Each of these individuals has made a positive difference in our community, and we are grateful for their dedication and hard work.
