Learning Disability Week Event

Monday 17 – Sunday 23 June 2024 is Learning Disability Week, and we’ve partnered with the Essex Learning Disability Partnership to spread awareness and celebrate the things people with a learning disability bring to society.

Join us on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 from 11am to 3pm at Clacton Shopping Village for an informative and engaging day. Our NHS amazing Community Nurses will be hosting a stall to raise awareness about Learning Disabilities and discuss how reasonable adjustments in the community can make a huge difference for those affected.

Every year, people from all over come together to celebrate Learning Disability Week, and this year, the theme is “Do you see me?”

“Do you see me?” is all about recognising, hearing, and valuing people with learning disabilities. It’s a time to:

  • Celebrate the incredible achievements of individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Challenge the barriers they face in everyday life.

Let’s make sure everyone is seen, heard, and valued. Respect and listen to their views and feelings, and help us spread the word about the importance of inclusion and support.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn, engage, and support our community.
